YAF Ghana works to prepare Ghanaian
youth for college, career, and community
life. We achieve this mission through our
dynamic college access program, skill-building activities, and community
engagement initiatives.
Through our various programs, we seek to groom the next generation of leaders.
While we support students to access college education, we also provide them
the platform to find their voice, take action, and acquire powerful civic and leadership
skills.
We work with Senior High School graduates who have already taken the
West African Senior School Certificate examinations (WASSCE). We select not
just the highest achieving students but all who apply.
Since our founding in 2017, we have generated over $21.6 million in educational aid for Ghana’s youth.
We have trained 150 students in our computer literacy empowerment program and helped build 12 start-ups and youth projects addressing everything from plastic waste management to agriculture and STEM education. Our annual scholarship workshops and educational outreach program have reached over 10,000 students nationwide. We are continuing to provide professional development skills to our youth and work with local high schools to boost college awareness among students.
We aim to continue to invest in Ghana’s youth by connecting them with opportunities to transform their lives and communities.
There are many ways to get involved in helping Ghanaian youth find success through the Young Achievers Foundation Ghana Scholars Program.
