A graduate of Opoku Ware School (AKATAKYIE) and the 2020 Young Achievers Foundation Ghana Scholars Program. Starting this Fall, Herbert will begin his undergraduate education at Northwestern University on a full scholarship worth $85,000 per year.
Raised by a single parent after the loss of his father, Herbert has strived to excel both in his academic work and in his extracurricular pursuits.
Herbert describes himself as a tech enthusiast, an environmentalist, and a passionate social entrepreneur. He is one of the leaders of Youth for Climate Action (Youth4CA), a grassroots movement that is working to mobilize youth to address the environmental challenges facing Ghana.
At Northwestern, Herbert plans on pursuing Electrical Engineering at the Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering with a focus on renewable energy technology.
