Congratulations To Judith Osei-Tete

February 21, 2022 admin 0 Comments

The YAF Ghana family celebrates one of our own, Judith Osei-Tete, for her relentless pursuit and commitment to excellence. Starting this Fall, Judith will be pursuing her undergraduate education at Cornell University College of Engineering on a 4-year full scholarship worth $87,500/year.

Judith is a graduate of Wesley Grammar School and one of 30 beneficiaries of the YAF Ghana Program to gain admission with a full scholarship during the Early Decision/Early Action admission cycle. We celebrate her for her extraordinary accomplishment.

Go yafalians💪🏾!

Learn More About Judith’s Journey:

I began this journey as a brave idealist with a dream for a better future. A future where I wouldn’t be forced to settle for less or pursue what I wasn’t interested in just for the sake of job security; a future where I could learn, think and innovate freely, utilizing resources and my God-given talents to impact lives positively; a future where health, technology and how to effectively consolidate the two will not be a foreign concept in Ghana. Although I became more practical throughout this journey, my dream – however unachievable it might seem to some – remained the same. Today, as an incoming freshman at Cornell University College of Engineering, I am proud to announce that I am well on my way to actualizing this dream.

I’m grateful to Mr. Ofori-Yeboah and Mr. Odame, my teachers in Wesley Grammar School, for being the first people to believe in me. Thank you, Mr. Adutwum and Scholarship Access Project, for funding my stepping stones in this journey. Thank you, Selorm Promise and UpRaise Coaching, for your indispensable mentorship and guidance. Thank you, Ferdinand, for never giving up on me, and the rest of YAF Ghana – alumni and current graduating class alike – for being a community I know I can always count on. Finally, to all family and friends who supported me through everything, God bless you.

As I close this chapter of my life, I’m reminded of the fact that with hard and smart work, the right resources, and an encouraging community, I can achieve anything I set my mind to. I’m excited to see what this next chapter of my life at Cornell holds. Go Big Red!🐻❤️
